If you have issues with the game not passing the menu, try to disable plugin loader on goldhen first and try to run the game, then you can enable it again, XRaze mentioned that fixed it for him in order for the game to create a save. For the slowdown i have no idea, some claim changing to 1080 fixes it, others say it doesnt.
